live an incredible life
who We are
Rooted in Jesus:
Being rooted in Jesus means building a deep and lasting relationship with Him that shapes every aspect of our lives.
Jeremiah 17:7-8, Matthew 7:24-27, John 15:1-8
Operating in our Genius:
Operating in our genius means each one of us uses the unique spiritual gifts God has given us to share God’s love, serve in God’s church, and make a difference in the world.
1 Corinthians 12, Romans 12:4-8
Committed to Justice:
Being committed to justice means following the example of Christ by actively engaging in the work of equity wherever inequities exist.

Our Core Values
-
We believe that the church is built on Jesus. We unashamedly preach the Gospel of Christ. Every weekend we will give people an opportunity to begin a relationship with Him and to help people know Him deeper. He is the focus of the message we preach, the songs we sing and the prayers we pray.
John 11:25-26, 1 Peter 1:3, Romans 5:8
-
We believe God’s Word is truth, is active and alive and relevant for our today. We are fully committed to reading, studying, obeying and living by God’s Word. It is a light that guides our path, it is the source of all truth and we will follow it joyfully.
2 Timothy 3:16-17
-
We believe that all people matter to God; therefore, they matter to us. Jesus came to seek and save the lost and has left us here, in part, to do the same. Our individual lives and corporate efforts will reflect this conviction.
1 Peter 4:8-11, John 3:16, 1 John 4:7-8,
-
We believe life is best lived authentically. We don’t pretend to be perfect or have it all together. We are a group of people doing our best to live a life devoted to Christ. We acknowledge that we need His grace and we need each other to take our next steps in our journey of faith. Life can be messy, hard, shameful, frustrating, joyful and more - and we are a church who lives all of it - together.
James 5:16, Romans 12:1-4, 2 Corinthians 4:7-10, 2 Corinthians 12:9-10
-
We believe every good thing comes from God. As people who believe that, we should be the most generous people in the world. We give cheerfully, we give regularly and we give sacrificially. Our greatest resources are our time, talent and treasure and we give those willingly and often.
Acts 20:35, Luke 6:38, Luke 21:1-4, Matthew 6:21
-
We believe that your best days are in front of you. God has a plan for your life and it’s more than you could ever dream, think or imagine. When we discover our unique genius and design the potential of our future is unlocked. Each one of us have been specifically designed to make a difference in our world and we are committed to helping you find yours.
Ephesians 2:10, Jeremiah 29:11, Matthew 5:13-16, Jeremiah 1:5
-
We believe it is our responsibility to be a light in the darkness, to bring hope and life to all those we encounter. God has placed us strategically here. This happens through our church wide outreach events and partnerships but also through our individual lives. We exist to serve and love the Bay Area beginning with Oakland.
Mark 12:30-31, Colossians 3:14
Our BELIEFS
-
We believe in One God who eternally exists in three persons: The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and co-eternal, which is the Trinity. Deuteronomy 6:4; John 1:1-14; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Genesis 1:26; Matthew 3:16-17, 28:19; Luke 1:35; Isaiah 9:6, John 10:30
-
We believe that Jesus Christ is God the Son. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross for humanity and thus, atoned for our sins through the shedding of His blood. He rose from the dead on the third day according to the Scriptures, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return again in power and glory.
Colossians 1:15-18; 1 Timothy 3:16; John 1:1,14,14:6;20:28; Isaiah 9:6; Philippians 2:5-6; 1 Timothy 2:5; Acts 4:12; Revelation 1:8
-
We believe in the Gospel: that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of the Living God and that He was crucified on a cross for our sins and that He was raised from the dead three days later.
Matthew 16:16; Mark 10:45; Acts 26:23; 1 Corinthians 15:1-8, 20; Galatians 1:4; Colossians 1:15; 2:13-14; 1 Peter 2:24; Revelation 1:5
-
We believe that the Bible is the Word of God, fully inspired and without mixture of error in its original manuscripts. Written by human authors under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, it has supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Mark 13:31; John 8:31-32; John 20:31; Acts 20:32
-
We believe the Church is the Body of Christ which is made up of all Christ-Followers. Its mission is to glorify God and make Him known to the lost world. Every Christ-Follower is an integral part of the Church creating a spiritual unity of brothers and sisters.
Matthew 26:26-29; John 17:11, 20-23; 1 Corinthians 28:18-20; Acts 2:38; 8:12; 1 Corinthians 10:16; 11:23-25; 12:12-14; Ephesians 1:22-23; 2:19-22
-
We believe that all who believe the Gospel are born again by the Holy Spirit and become children of God and heirs of eternal life. Thus, eternal life is totally a work of grace, a gift of God and not a result of any good works or human effort on our part.
John 3:3, 5, 16; Romans 3:23-28; 5:1; 6:23; Galatians 2:16; 4:4-7; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5
-
We believe in the ongoing process of spiritual growth of the Christian through the Holy Spirit and God’s Word. Each person is to grow in their knowledge of God’s Word and in developing and employing their spiritual gifts through the Church so others may come to know Christ and the Church be built up into maturity.
John 8:31-32; 14:16-17; 16:13; 17:17; Romans 12:4-8; 1 Corinthians 12-14; Galatians 5:22-23; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 5:11-14

OUR LEGACY
If there was no Wings of Love Maranatha Ministries, there would never have been Incredible Church.
If there was no Wings of Love Maranatha Ministries, there would never have been Incredible Church. In 1988, Bishop D. J. Williams and Lady Ida Williams felt a divine call to establish a ministry in Oakland, CA, to serve a community they had yet to meet. On September 4, 1988, they were guided to 7007 MacArthur Blvd, a location that would soon become the spiritual home of Wings of Love Maranatha Ministries. After a few years of ministry, they were blessed to secure this very location as their church home, officially moving in by September 1992.
Bishop Williams, affectionately known as the "Praying Preacher," made prayer and the study of God's Word the core of the ministry. His commitment to prayer led to countless testimonies of answered prayers and miracles within the church community. Under his leadership, Wings of Love grew not just in numbers but in impact, becoming a stronghold of faith in the Oakland area.
The church thrived, not only through weekly worship services but also through its outreach initiatives and missions. For instance, as Youth Pastor David B. Franklin led efforts in El Porvenir, Honduras, to build a church, and provided direct aid to Tsunami victims in Sri Lanka, reflecting the global reach of the ministry’s compassion.
The legacy of Bishop Williams continued through the leadership of other dedicated pastors, including Associate Servant B.K. Woodson, Pastor Craig Dossman, Sr., and Pastor Anthony Paschal, Sr., who, along with their spouses, shepherded the congregation through seasons of growth and transition. Even after Bishop Williams’ passing in November 2019, Lady Ida carried on the legacy, contributing her wisdom and experience as a member of the Board of Directors.
On March 11, 2023, Dr. David B. Franklin was installed as the Lead Pastor of Wings of Love Maranatha Ministries, alongside his wife, First Lady Cynthia W. Franklin, and their two sons, Malachi and Micah. After a period of prayerful consideration and discernment, Wings of Love Maranatha Ministries embraced a new chapter. To better serve the next generation and extend their impact, the church decided to launch Incredible Church. With a renewed vision and commitment, Incredible Church now continues the legacy of Wings of Love, aiming to bring hope and spiritual uplift to the Bay Area and beyond.
